Children's Clay Classes

Learn the art of clay!

  • Public Classes: see list above of current offerings.
  • Private Group Classes: scouting groups, homeschool groups, and gatherings of at least five people. 
  • Parties & Events: Birthdays, school open houses, camps, etc.
  • Talk to me about your idea! I try to be as flexible as possible to provide positive clay experiences.
A little about clay class:
Fun hand-on building and sculpting projects teach coiling, pinching, slab-rolling, textural, and decorative techniques. Gather for a creative clay experience with peers or take a kit home to stretch your imagination, motor & sensory skills, and love of art. 
  • Air Dry clay - Make projects with clay that can be dried at home and painted with acrylic paints in 1-1.5 hours. Great for all ages and beginners wanting to get creative!
  • Kiln-fired - Make and glaze projects in one 2-hour class or a series of classes. Projects are transported to my studio for firing and delivered within 3 weeks.
  • Clay Kits - air dry clay, supplies, and instructions for a take-home clay experience at your own pace. Delivery available for 5+ orders to Suwanee and surrounding areas.

Talk to me about Neurodiversity!

Help me ensure that classes are a good fit for you or your child's neurology. Every class includes wet wipes for sticky hands and a variety of tools to use. While I can't often control the teaching environment and how much 1:1 instruction a child might receive, I can be mindful of any adverse stimuli in advance. We can help all children by celebrating process, playful learning experiences, and skill-building over finished ceramic products. Please let me know if you prefer an open-ended clay experience!
